Friday’s High Court ruling stated that it was a disaster to immunize children without corona testing. After testing, the government must take immediate steps to ensure that children under 18 years old are vaccinated. It is a demand from the entire nation.
The Central Government informed the High Court that vaccines for children are currently being tested in clinical trials. Soon, the test will be complete. The government will then formulate a policy to inoculate children. After the approval of experts, vaccination will begin.
Justice Jyoti and Chief Justice DN Patel, a division bench, stated that it would be disastrous for children to be vaccinated without being tried. Let the trial end.
After the trial, vaccinate children as soon as possible. The next hearing was scheduled for September 6, by the division bench. A minor is requesting that the High Court issue a direction for vaccinations to be immediately started in the age group 12-17 years.
In the petition, it was stated that children need to be vaccinated as soon as possible because they will be most affected by the third wave corona.
Chetan Sharma, Additional Solicitor General, stated that Zydus Cadila has successfully tested its DNA-based vaccine on children aged 12-18 years. The vaccine has yet to be approved by the statutory authorities. In the near future, this vaccine will be available for the vaccination of children.
