IPL 2022: Hyderabad is second in the points table, Hardik defeats Rahul in Orange Cap Race

The IPL 2022 season is half over. All 14 teams have played at most seven matches. Teams from Kolkata and Bangalore have played eight matches. After winning six of seven matches, Gujarat is still in first place. Hyderabad, on the other hand has moved up to second after winning five consecutive matches. However, Kolkata has found it very difficult to make it to the playoffs. Rajasthan, who was in first place Friday, is now in third place. However, they are still fighting for the playoffs. In the race to be the fourth playoff team, Lucknow and Bangalore are ahead.

Lokesh Rahul has been left behind by Hardik Pandya, the Gujarat captain. Josh Buttler is still the leader and it will prove difficult for any batsman not to surpass him. Yuzvendra Chahal leads the race to the Purple Cap. He has already taken three more wickets than Natarajan, who is second.

Status of Marks table

Hyderabad, which had lost the first two matches, by a wide margin, has now won five matches consecutively and is in second place in the points table. Gujarat, which beat Kolkata to win 12 points, has regained the first place. The Rajasthan team is now in third position. After the loss, Bangalore is still in fourth place. Lucknow remains in the playoff race at fifth place. Sixth is Delhi, seventy-seventh is Kolkata, and eighteen is Punjab. These teams have had a difficult road to the playoffs.

The chances of Chennai and Mumbai reaching the playoffs is slim. Mumbai is unlikely to make it, despite Chennai winning all of their matches and making it to the first four teams in the tournament.

Highest run scorer (Orange Cap)

Jos Buttler, Rajasthan Royals, remains the top scorer in terms of runs. Lokesh Rahul is now second, while Hardik Pandya is third. Hardik scored 295 runs in six matches.

Yuzvendra Chahal leads the race to the Purple Cap. In seven matches, he has taken 18 wickets. Kuldeep Yadav ranks second, while Dwayne Bravo is third.
