RCB Vs PBKS: Bangalore would like to boost its playoff chances by securing a third win in a row to compete with Punjab Kings

Faf du Plessis’s team Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will be looking to improve their claim to the playoffs in the Indian Premier League (IPL) by beating Punjab Kings on Friday. It seems that the Bangalore team has seized the momentum right at the right moment, while the Punjab Kings’ performance has been filled with fluctuations throughout the entire season. RCB have been astonished in their last two games and it seems like they have found the right combination.

With the exception of Virat Kohli, all cricketers of RCB are performing well. Rajat Patidar as well as Mahipal Lomror also are doing very well, as are Captain Faf du Plessis, Glenn Maxwell, and Dinesh Karthik. Kohli hasn’t had a great IPL season, however, Kohli is expected to redeem himself with a win against Punjab.

The bowlers at RCB have also been consistently on top of their game and have been in good forms, such as the fit Josh Hazlewood and the reliable Harshal Patel. Mohammad Siraj is not in his best form, but the team can count on him to be a good performer in crucial situations.

Hasranga’s spin works

Maxwell has been a great help with his off-spins in middle overs and powerplays while Wanindu has so already taken 21 wickets which includes five in a single match. If RCB defeats Punjab the score will be 16 points. However, 18 points is considered to be a secure number to qualify for the playoffs.

Bairstow is back

In terms of Punjab goes, they’ll need to win their next three games to get in the fourth team. They defeated RCB in their first game but are now sitting on 10 points after five wins. He has lost six games. There’s a lack of uniformity within the Punjab team. Shikhar Dhawan as well as Bhanuka Rajapakse have been contributing well in the top order and Liam Livingstone and Jitesh Sharma are completing the innings with ease. Jonny Bairstow’s return is a good thing for Punjab. Captain Mayank Agarwal has decided to move into the middle line, however, he will need to take be the leader at the top.

Arshdeep is effective in death overs

In the bowling department, Kagiso Rabada has picked up 18 wickets so yet, but he’s proved to be costly. Sandeep Sharma has the ability to pick up many wickets during the powerplay. Arshdeep Singh has been bowling impressively particularly in the final overs, where he frightened the batsmen with his precise yorkers. Although there are many excellent players on the team, Punjab team falls apart at critical times, and they need to get better as quickly as they can.
