RCB vs PBKS: Punjab Kings won the 60th game in the IPL 2022. Punjab Kings secured a one-sided win of 54 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore. The match was played at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai The Punjab team, was the first to bat and scored a record-breaking score of 209 for losing nine wickets over 20 overs. After that, his bowlers confined Bangalore to 150. This win means that Punjab is currently in the race to qualify for the playoffs and is now in the sixth position on the table of points.
Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis made an immediate start for the Bangalore team in pursuit of Punjab’s goal of 210 runs. Each scored 30 runs over three overs. However, Kagiso Rabada, who made his debut in the fourth over delivered his first punch to Bangalore by disqualifying Virat for 20 runs. Then, a few overs further on, Rishi Dhawan also added to the issues of RCB by disqualifying Faf du Plessis and Mahipal Lomror in the first over.
Rajat Patidar as well as Glenn Maxwell, however, saved the team from initial setbacks and put on just 64 runs to take four wickets.
At some point, it appeared that the Bangalore team seemed like they were in great form but Rahul Chahar caused more trouble when he snared Rajat Patidar by Shikhar Dhawan, who scored 26 runs on the final shot of the 11th. In the next ball, Harpreet Brar gave a blow to Bangalore’s hopes of winning by disqualifying Glenn Maxwell for 35. After the demise of the two players, neither one of the RCB batsmen lasted long, and they returned back to their pavilions one after one.
Dinesh Karthik, too, was unable to achieve 11 runs. Mohammad Siraj and Jose Hazlewood continued to play until the final moment and prevented the team from going out completely out, but they were unable to keep the game from going to the wire.
In the previous match at earlier at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai, Bangalore captain Faf du Plessis took the toss and asked Punjab for the first bat. Following this, Punjab scored 50 runs in the initial four overs, on the basis of the bat by Jonny Bairstow as well as Shikhar Dhawan. Glenn Maxwell gave him the first blow, in the shape of Shikhar Dhawan (21) in the fifth over.
Bhanuka Rajapaksa, too, scored a run before returning to the pavilion following being removed by Hasranga. In the opposite direction, Bairstow continued his explosive cricket and scored fifty in just 21 balls. This meant that Punjab also scored its 100 runs in the 9th over. But, in the following over Bairstow scored 66 runs in just 29 balls before being removed by Shahbaz.
Captain Mayank Agarwal then took charge of the game along with Liam Livingstone. They moved the score up and played 51-runs with Liam Livingstone to take the 4th wicket.
Mayank Agarwal was back in the pavilion following scoring 19 runs but on the opposite side, Liam Livingstone continued to bat and scored his half-century. Following this, he increased the score of the team to 200. Harshal got dismissed by the opposition for 70 in just 42 balls in the final over. Harshal got two wickets in only four runs in the final over, and he scored an overall total of four victories.
