The rate of growth for eight fundamental industries was 10.4 percent in the fiscal year 2021-22. Take a look at the data.

The month of March in 2022 saw eight of the core industries experienced a decrease in production, which was 4.3 percent. It recorded a rise of 12.6 percent in the same month in 2017. This data was revealed in the official statistics released on Friday. The month of February saw the rate of growth for these sectors was six percent. These eight industries comprise coal and natural gas, crude oil refinery products, fertilizers steel, cement, and electricity.

According to the figures it is clear that the growth rate for fundamental industries in the financial years 2021-22 stood at 10.4 percent. In the same period the rate of decline was 6.4 percent in the fiscal year 2020-21. The production of refinery product, fertilizers, steel, cement and electricity have increased this year, in comparison to March of the previous year. Natural gas production increased by 7.6 percent in the month of March 2022. Petroleum refinery output increased by 6.2 percent.
